Using USB/VCP Drivers with MAC OS10.15 (Catalina)

← Back

All Actisense USB Products utilise FTDI (Future Technology Devices International) Drivers which, when connected to a PC or MAC with internet access, will automatically have the drivers downloaded and installed.

MAC OS10.15 (Catalina) presents an issue between FTDI and Apple, meaning that their drivers were not installing correctly. This issue should however now be resolved, and the drivers are on public release (As of 13/08/2020).

Should your Actisense USB product not automatically install or install and return an error, we recommend you to install the new 2.4.4 DMG (DiskImageFile) from FTDI. These can be found here: https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
