The Actisense™ NMEA Buffer module is the best solution
for buffering weak NMEA sources, allowing them to drive many NMEA inputs
such as chart plotter's, radar's, and/or an on-board PC / Laptop.
The NBF-1 Buffer is required wherever an NMEA source cannot provide sufficient
power to drive all the equipment that requires the NMEA data it supplies.
It is also ideal for safely interfacing an onboard PC to all the NMEA equipment
on board a vessel.
Designed for use with all NMEA output types (RS422, RS485 and RS232), this
buffer produces an amplified copy on each of its outputs. The buffer's input
is fully Opto-isolated to provide electrical spike protection to the driver
source, and meets the requirements of the latest NMEA 0183 specifications.
Simple to use, high quality screw connectors that are angled to allow easy
access, make wiring up the NMEA Buffer a joy.
