Recommended update for all NDC-4 users, in addition to the new version of NDC Control Centre (v2.100) to help resolve the display issue with the 'Pass All P-codes' tick-box. ------------------------------------------------------------ -- Changes from v1.080 to v1.090 -- ------------------------------------------------------------ * Fixes 'Port Config' update bug. Small issue introduced in Firmware v1.070 stopped any new 'Port Config' settings downloaded using NDC Control Centre from being used immediately - new values stored successfully in memory, but not actually used until power reset. This update fixes this issue: now (as before v1.070), the new 'Port Config' settings are saved to memory and used immediately without requiring a power reset. ------------------------------------------------------------ -- Changes from v1.070 to v1.080 -- ------------------------------------------------------------ * Adds the new 'Autoswitch' operating mode capability to the NDC-4. With this firmware the NDC-4 can operate in normal 'Combine' mode, or the special 'Autoswitch' mode. The NDC Control Centre (v2.080 or newer) is used to change mode: - Combined mode: Standard / Normal combine data from all 4/5 inputs together into 1 NMEA stream (with 2 outputs). Order code: NDC-4 or NDC-4-USB - Autoswitch mode: Special auto selection of the highest priority input. Only the chosen input's data is output. Autoswitch preconfigured order code: NDC-4-ASW (Any NDC-4 can be changed to operate as an Autoswitch) ------------------------------------------------------------ -- Changes from v1.051 to v1.070 -- ------------------------------------------------------------ * Adds the capability to change the filter "Inclusion Lists" for each input on the NDC-4, (also requires that the NDC Control Centre is updated to version 2.070 or above). This now gives the NDC-4 all the advanced capabilities previously only available on the flagship NDC-2 model. * Removes all known issues in handling illegal length NMEA 0183 sentences (> 85 characters long) - primarily from poor AIS devices that break the NMEA 0183 specification. This has been observed as the unit resetting. This is a highly recommended patch to remove all known issues with the NDC-4 & AIS operation, and should be used by all NDC-4 customers. * Added ability to recover from an invalid RS232/USB Baud rate value. If this issue is observed, used this version of ActiPatch via the RS232 connection (not USB) and power cycle the NDC-4 unit. This will allow ActiPatch to talk to the NDC-4 and update it's firmware. Once updated, the Baud rate issue will be fixed and normal operation will resume. ------------------------------------------------------------ -- Changes from v1.050 to v1.051 -- ------------------------------------------------------------ * Small change to correctly allow 'OPTO-IN 0' to function correctly when no USB cable is plugged into the NDC-4.
